I simply adore this time of year, don't you?
The heat is gone and the weather screams, "Nest inside with the family!"
Nesting is one of my favorite things to do.
I love to make the house feel homey, comfortable and inviting, the kitchen is no exception!
On a side note, do you know how difficult it is to get a kitchen clean enough to take pictures.....!?!
Everyone wants to keep coming in for food or drinks, the nerve!
Let it be known that it does not stay this way for long!
First up, the area above the desk:
Who but the Graphic's Fairy would have such lovely images???
A little Elmer's Glue does the trick.....
German glass glittered pumpkins!
Labels from Coco and Bella.
I will be changing this after Halloween, Thanksgiving deserves it's own design.
Next, the area that I will not change till Christmas.
As you may notice I have an aqua, brown and orange theme for now, which will become less orange after Monday.
You can see the fireplace in progress...cement board in place, waiting for time to get it completed!
And my lovely gallery wall.
It is easy to see the flaws... the molding under the cabinet that somehow mysteriously vanished after we painted two years ago. Thomas assures me that he will finish it before Thanksgiving.
These candlesticks were found at Goodwill for 1-2 dollars each, they are brass but not any longer. Don't you just love spray paint?
I am on the hunt for more!
Oh and they wouldn't get out of the way...something about dinner on the grill....
My backyard will soon be ablaze with beautiful color....
and dinner will be in my tummy!
I can't wait for both!
Theresa
