Good Morning!
It is lovely and crispy, the trees are starting to turn vibrant shades of red, orange and yellow.
It is not uncommon to still have a few leaves at Thanksgiving around these parts.
I do miss the mountains in the fall, but living here does have lots of perks as well.
We have been going through a few things here.
Thomas has not been feeling great and has been to the doctor, he will have scans this week and we will see the doctor the second week of November.
This is always a little unnerving and stressful, like waiting for the ax to fall as they say...
But God is good and has been faithful to us while we wait, reminding us to keep out eyes on HIm alone and to trust His care and great love for us.
This has prompted me to do what many women do ...
clean, purge and stay busy.
I have cleaned my closet in the master bedroom after living here 11 years....needless to say I have about 10 bags plus lots of other stuff for Goodwill.
I have also been busy on my gallery wall!
And that is the real purpose of this post.
It makes me happy.
I only spent about $20 on it. I had everything else or I made it from things I had around the house!
The beginning....
The reveal!
I wanted it to be informal, fun and for the pictures to go from floor to ceiling.
I simply painted all the frames either aqua, old white or provence ( Annie Sloane's chalk paint) so they would coordinate, (since the subject matter is do diverse!).
I also want to thank the
Graphics Fairy for many of the marvelous images.
Perhaps my favorite blog in the entire world!
This is a special painting to me painted by the lovely girl in the picture with my daughter, SeJin.
she lived with us for a couple of years.
We love her, she is another daughter to us.
the picture is of the front of my house in the fall....
This one in fact!
Who says a chalk board has to be black?
This one is painted in Provence by Annie Sloan!
My family....
A few shot of the rest of the room...
I have plans for this lamp that involve paint and a different light bulb. The longer it sits like this, the more I like it!
I actually do enjoy the white walls, everyone that knows me will be surprised by that.
See, the ceiling is blue, the same shade as my kitchen...( which you can see on the other side of the opening)
We removed the desk that was here, it is going to be placed in the office soon.
The fireplace is still a work in progress. I went to get the tile on Monday and am waiting for my man to have time to get it up...
it's going to be lovely!
I leave you with a thought;
Theresa
